As in the valuation of any personal services entity, normalization of owners’ compensation can often have the greatest influence on a valuator’s determination of the fair market value of a physician practice. This course will discuss specific methods of measuring and benchmarking physician compensation as part of a valuation engagement. Also being covered will be some recent developments in the healthcare industry and federal regulations affecting physician compensation. The presentation will include:

An overview of measuring physician productivity.

Important considerations specific to benchmarking physician compensation.

After completing this Webinar course participants will be able to:
• Reference recognized sources of statistical data most commonly used to measure physician compensation and production.
• Benchmark physician productivity using the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Work Relative Value Unit (wRVU) system.
