Program Content
Business appraisal review is a critical component of every business appraiser’s practice. No firm can risk being caught unaware of quality assurance problems. Customer demands, potential penalties and sanctions and loss of business, are real possibilities in this era of heightened focus on professional responsibility. This course and the associated accreditation, ensure that practitioners and firms are equipped to optimize the quality of business appraisals produced by firm associates. The course teaches an innovative appraisal review and quality assurance procedure, and, upon successful completion of the course, examination and business appraisal review report (all administered during the webinar sessions), participants may qualify for the Accredited in Business Appraisal Review (ABAR) accreditation from the Institute of Business Appraisers.
Participants will get a new perspective on their appraisal techniques, be able to critically review the work product of others, and get their accreditation upon satisfactory completion of the workshop. Plus, the ABAR accreditation provides an instant economic advantage to the business appraiser.

Learning Objectives
Participants are presented with an appraisal review outline and rubric, as well as a template for a business appraisal review report. Participants learn the techniques of business appraisal review and apply these techniques in small group breakout sessions which meet by telephone once or twice between each webinar session to work on case studies. When participants have completed the webinar series they will be able to:

Identify the elements of business appraisal review of interest to stakeholders in the appraisal process

Identify strengths and potential weaknesses of their appraisal reports

List ways that they can improve their mentoring and coaching skills
Who Should Attend
Accredited practitioners (CBA, CVA, AVA, ABV, ASA, CFA) interested in advancing their appraisal skills and developing new business opportunities, accredited practitioners acting as expert witnesses, and senior practitioners in charge of appraisal staff will greatly benefit from the skills taught in the workshop. Also, valuation practitioners representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and other regulatory agencies.

Pricing
This Four-Part Webinar Series is packaged and priced at $1800 for the entire series of four sessions. In the event a webinar participant registers and pays for the series and is unable to attend one of the sessions, a recording of the missed session will be emailed to the participant in order to obtain the missed information. You will not be able to receive NASBA qualifying CPE credit for the missed live webinar presentations.

There is no charge to transfer to another webinar. Cancellations received in writing two weeks prior to the webinar will be eligible for a prompt refund. Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the day of the scheduled webinar will be issued, upon request, a credit which may be used towards another Consultants’ Institute Training offering. |
